Teaching Resources for All Staff

The following resources were each developed as part of a College eLearning Initiative Project.

eLearning Resource Centre

This resource is part of the eLearning Resource Centre and Staff Development Program and aims to support academic teaching staff by providing practical examples of the use of information and communication technology in health sciences education.

The eLearning Resource Centre and Staff Development Program is a joint project between the College of Health Sciences and Office of the PVC (Teaching and Learning) and is part of the University of Sydney's Information and Communication Technology (ICT) in Teaching and Learning Initiative. Site development was carried out by members of the Flexible Online Learning Team (FOLT) in collaboration with College academics during the period October 2004 to January 2005.

Professor Don Nutbeam, Pro Vice Chancellor (College of Health Sciences) and Dr Mary Jane Mahony, Chair of the College's ICT in Teaching and Learning Working Group, welcome you to this site.

Using Still Images in Online Teaching and Learning

This website has been developed for staff of the College of Sciences and Technology and the College of Health Sciences. It aims to support academic staff by illustrating how images can be prepared and uploaded to My eLearning, accessed in image databases, and incorporated into the teaching and learning of My eLearning units of study. Most of the examples of image use have been drawn or adapted from current units of study across the two colleges.

Development of the website has been carried out by members of the Flexible Online Learning Team, in collaboration with staff from both colleges. The project is part of the University of Sydney’s Information and Communication Technology in Teaching and Learning Initiative, under the auspices of the Pro Vice Chancellor (Teaching and Learning).
