Course fees

Payment schedule

Generally, half of the total tuition fee is payable at the time you accept your offer. The second payment must be made by the date you begin your studies. Details of payments required will be stated in the letter you receive advising you that your application has been accepted.

Payment should be by bankdraft in Australian dollars and made payable to the University of Sydney Foundation Program.

Additional fees and costs

Enrolment fee
An enrolment fee of A$200 will be charged on confirmation of enrolment.

Stationery and textbooks
Allow approximately A$300 - A$500 for stationery and textbook costs, depending upon the subjects taken.

Music in USFP
Students can choose to be taught individual instrumental studies either by teachers of the Conservatorium or by teachers at Taylors College. The cost of instrumental studies varies but in general are approximately as follows:

Taylors College teacher - From A$2000

Overseas Students Health Cover (OSHC)
The Australian government requires all overseas students to pay for health insurance. This fee is payable at the time you confirm your enrolment. OSHC currently costs A$342 for one year for a single student. In order for Immigration authorities to confirm your enrolment, OSHC payment must be included with the first payment of tuition fees.

Service charges
– Airport reception - A$130 including GST
– Accommodation placement fee - A$215 including GST

Living costs
Students should budget approximately A$16,000 (depending on individual circumstances) for all expenses other than tuition fees. This estimate is offered as a guide only and does not include transport, leisure and other expenses.
