Undergraduate entry requirements for international students
To be considered for admission to an undergraduate program at the University of Sydney, you need to meet our minimum eligibility criteria. This will usually include:
- an acceptable secondary qualification from your high school studies (or at least one year of tertiary studies)
- meeting the English language requirements, and
- any special entry requirements.
You can find the grades required for some accepted secondary qualifications listed in academic requirements.
More detailed information on all requirements can be found using the menu links on the left.
Foundation program
If you do not possess an acceptable secondary or tertiary qualification, you can apply to the University of Sydney Foundation Program, which is equivalent to Australian final year secondary studies.
