Areas of research strength
The humanities and social sciences are the scholarly fields of study that explore what it means to be human, and is underpinned by six major research strengths:
- Citizenship and culture
- Creative, performing and visual arts
- History and archaeology
- Law and legal studies
- Philosophy and society
- Work, economics and finance
Each of our current research strengths have been determined by the significant numbers of:
- research enrolments, completions, publications and income.
- identified major research centres and facilities including CoEs, CRCs, ARC Special Research Centres, ARC Key Centres and MNRFs.
- staff with recognised international standing such as Federation Fellows and Fellows of Learned Academic Academies and Societies.
