The University is delighted to welcome Dr Michael Spence to the role of Vice-Chancellor and Principal.

Dr Spence is an alumnus and returns to Sydney after twenty years at the University of Oxford. He is keen to preserve, and build upon, the University’s tradition of excellence.

As Vice-Chancellor, Dr Spence will work closely with the academic community at Sydney ensuring the University continues to deliver the highest quality education and research. His leadership will guide the University through the challenges and opportunities that will shape its future achievements both in Australia and internationally.
